COFOUNDER & DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

As a member of the SAP math team and as a close advisor to Jason Zimba for nine years, I have both shaped and advanced the mathematical agenda of Student Achievement Partners through a range of strategic and operational projects. Growing up, by the time I got to high school, I no longer identified as a “math person,” due to a few years of surface-level math instruction. Through my professional work, I have revised that mindset for myself and now am committed to helping students - particularly those who have been traditionally marginalized - build their math knowledge and agency as they embrace and master mathematics. Some of the projects I’ve worked on that prepared the way for the Math Milestones initiative:

• Co-managed the development of the Coherence Map, now a widely used tool on achievethecore.org.

• Managed the development of curriculum guides for modifying widely adopted math programs to align them with the standards.

• Led SAP’s performance management process for 2017.

• Synthesized research to inform SAP’s five-year strategic plan in 2018.

• Earned a master’s degree in education policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2019.
